Pioneering Bitcoin and Longevity: A Conversation with Niklas Azinger and Dusan Matuska

At the intersection of innovation, entrepreneurship, and radical ideas, Niklas Azinger, founder and CEO of Infinita, along with Dusan Matuska, co-founder and Head of Education at AmityAge, are setting their bold visions for the future.

During a panel discussion, Niklas and Dusan shared their thoughts on Bitcoin, longevity, and the power of community in creating new models for governance and economic development.

The Origins: A Journey of Discovery and Entrepreneurship

Niklas and Dusan’s journey started in an unexpected way: they were both initially drawn to Prospera, a private city in Honduras, but for different reasons. Niklas read about the jurisdiction through a blog post and was immediately intrigued. “It sounded too good to be true,” he admitted, “so I had to check it out.”

Dusan’s introduction was even more serendipitous. While visiting the island for personal reasons, he stumbled upon a Prospera event by chance. “I saw a Prospera Summit happening on Twitter, and I thought it must be a joke,” he laughed. But what he found was a vibrant, forward-thinking community. “I was expecting 5 people on a beach talking about freedom. Instead, it was a room full of people actually building something.”

That event was a turning point. Dusan pitched the idea of a Bitcoin education center, while Niklas introduced Infinita, a venture focused on longevity and frontier technology. They both realized that the space offered them a unique opportunity to turn ambitious ideas into reality.

Bitcoin, Freedom, and Economic Development

During the panel discussion, Dusan, an outspoken Bitcoin educator, shared how Bitcoin aligns with the culture of Roatan and the broader freedom movement. “A lot of people here are freedom fighters in their minds,” he explained. “They might not even realize it, but they have that independent, anti-authoritarian mindset.”

However, introducing Bitcoin in new regions comes with challenges. “I was seen as the gringo coming in with this Bitcoin thing, and many people thought it was a scam,” Dusan acknowledged. “But once you explain it in the context of freedom - especially to communities with histories of oppression - it clicks. When I talked about Bitcoin in Punta Gorda, a community that escaped slavery 250 years ago, I saw their eyes light up. They immediately understood its power.”

Beyond local education, Dusan emphasized Bitcoin’s role as a peaceful revolution. “If you disagree with government monetary policy, you don’t need to protest. You don’t need violence. You can just opt out and use Bitcoin.”

Niklas, too, sees Bitcoin as a powerful tool for economic empowerment and governance innovation. “Prospera is about figuring out governance differently,” he said. “How can we integrate freedom more deeply into society? How do we build governance models that work better for entrepreneurs, for economic development, and for everyday people?”

Building a Community for Innovation

For Niklas, the most exciting outcome of their work in Honduras has been building a local tech community. “We knew from the start that this couldn’t just be a foreigner’s project,” he stressed. “Honduran entrepreneurs lack access to funding and a community that shares their ambition. That’s what we’re changing.”

In fact, Infinita made the first-ever venture capital investment in a Honduran startup. “It’s a small step, but it’s a big unlock for the country,” Niklas said. “If we can make venture capital work here, it opens up huge opportunities for local entrepreneurs.”

Longevity: The Next Frontier

While Bitcoin is reshaping financial systems, longevity is redefining what it means to be human. Niklas’ venture, Infinita, is pioneering radical life extension research.

“We’re not just talking about wellness or biohacking,” he clarified. “We’re asking a much bigger question: what if aging itself isn’t necessary? What if we can treat the human body like a machine that can be maintained indefinitely?”

Though the field is still in its early stages, Niklas sees massive potential. “The science is real, and it doesn’t violate any known laws of physics. The question is not if, but when.”

The Biggest Lessons: Leading Through Values

Both entrepreneurs emphasized that values come first in everything they do. “Liberty has intrinsic value,” Niklas noted. “We believe in free markets and personal freedom, not just because they lead to wealth, but because they are inherently right.”

However, they also recognize that advancing these ideas requires bringing people along for the journey. “Too often, libertarians or Bitcoiners just talk amongst themselves,” Dusan pointed out. “That’s a mistake. We need to engage with people where they are, make it practical for them, and show them how they can benefit.”

Infinita and AmityAge are doing exactly that, whether by educating communities on Bitcoin, funding local startups, or pushing the boundaries of human lifespan.

Final Thoughts: The Future of Innovation

Niklas and Dusan see their work as part of a broader movement: one that is rethinking money, governance, and even human biology. Their experiences in Honduras have reinforced a key lesson that there is always hope.

“People say the state will always crush innovation,” Niklas reflected. “But look at Bitcoin: it was supposed to be impossible and yet, here we are.”

Dusan agreed. “Innovation isn’t about waiting for permission. It’s about creating something so valuable that people can’t ignore it.”

As the world grapples with technological disruption, economic shifts, and political uncertainty, entrepreneurs like Niklas and Dusan are proving that the future belongs to those willing to build it.
